NEW FeONIC TECHNOLOGY
ENABLES GLASS TO
TRANSMIT SOUND

Exciting, new FeONICTM technology enables glass to be used to transmit sound. Using discreetly placed FeONIC actuators the glass surface is activated turning it into a speaker, delivering good quality audio from internal partitioning and screens, doors, balustrading, table tops, shower screens, conservatories and external glass elements. FeONIC technology also works on terraces, patios, and gardens for both domestic and commercial environments. Weather sealed FeONIC devices can also be used on timber decking.

This unique product has been developed in the UK by FeONIC plc using a unique smart material, and is being marketed under the brand FeONICGLASS and installed by London-based Preedy Glass for use with its glass-manufactured products. It is not an off-the-shelf product.

FeONIC technology is engineered and built to be impervious to all weather conditions such as rain, snow, sleet, wind, humidity and bright sunlight and is very simple to install.
FeONIC is a patented and trade marked technology licenced from FeONIC plc UK.

NEW ALL-GLASS HEATERS

Prefit is distributing new all-glass, German-manufactured heaters for use in bathrooms, conservatories and other domestic living areas. The elegant, strikingly minimalist units are splash-proof and consist of 2 x 6mm laminated safety glass (and integral thermostat) on solid stainless steel mountings.

The heated glass element is available in four sizes and is remote controlled. Heating capacity of the 600 x 1200 model is 22 watts from a 220/230 volts supply. As a rule of thumb, one heater is required for, say, a conservatory of 10-15m2, or a well insulated room of 20m2. For rooms larger than 20m2, two heaters are necessary.

NEW Concept in Door Design

New concepts in door design, such as LED lights in the Door Lite range and a middle layer of smashed glass in the Crash range, are some of the innovative, stunning attractions of the new collection of MAME all-glassdoors for the home and office now being marketed in the UK by Preedy Glass.

The exclusive collection, which consists of hinged and sliding units in a variety of finishes, and a range of door furniture, encourages specifiers and end users to view doors in a new light; not as single elements, but as equally important parts of the total interior design mix.

Door Lite design concepts include clear glass with frosted strips, and white or coloured LEDs; frosted glass with clear strips, and white or coloured LEDs; clear glass with 29 white and nine blue LEDs; and frosted glass with 27 white LEDs… and a whole host of other permutations and bespoke design possibilities. The LED lights themselves appear translucent or opaque, and the low voltage power supply connections are invisible.

Crash all-glass doors offer exciting colours and spectacular reflections. Each door is unique, designed for maximum visual impact from all angles.
