Preedy Glass Contracts Department offers a professional survey and installation service, of all types of glass and mirror. Every day brings a new challenge, with architects, designers, builders and private customers among many asking for help to turn their bespoke concepts into glass reality.
We are happy to discuss customers’ wishes over the telephone initially, and give an estimate, or if they would prefer, we offer a free no obligation site survey to look at their requirements in more detail, and provide a quotation. We are perfectly happy to support clients with very small jobs, but are also equipped to handle larger contracts if required.
Our specialty is being able to assist with unusual glass projects, and the list below shows some examples of the varying types of work we get involved with.
Preedy have supplied and fitted high quality mirrors over many years. They have an extensive range of antique mirrors, and recent additions to the range are low iron mirror where the colour clarity of the reflected surroundings are enhanced, and Preacid mirror for an unusual distinct decorative wall panelling. We are also able to supply and fit heated mirror pads to the back of the mirror in a bathroom to remove any condensation build up on the surface of the mirror.
Preedy Glass supply and install painted glass to any colour from the RAL or BS range. Low iron glass can be used to improve the colour clarity. This clean attractive modern look is primarily used in bathrooms or kitchens as wall panelling and splash backs.
Preedy Glass’s Contracts Department can survey and install architecturally designed glass floors, glass bridges, glass staircases and toughened glass frameless assemblies including complex Structural Glazing projects such as all glass conservatories, point fixed assemblies and glass canopies. Where a client’s structural engineer is unable to assist with the design, we can recommend a specialist glass structural engineer to ensure that the glass structure being installed is safe and takes all the required loadings.
Preedy Glass supply and install frameless glass interior doors and screens, and frameless glass shower enclosures. The glass can be sandblasted or acid etched with a bespoke design. Ironmongery including hinges, clamps, handles and knobs are available in a range of finishes, including polished chrome.
Preedy Glass offers a supply and installation service of all types of glass balustrade. We have an extensive range of clamps in various finishes for infill panels. Structural glass balustrades where the glass is only clamped at the base can be designed supplied and installed including handrails if required.
Preedy Glass offers a supply and installation service of fire resistant glass screens, doors and enclosures including framing for integrity and insulation up to 120 minutes
